ENTHALPY ANALYTICAL, LLC ANNOUNCES NELAP ACCREDITATION FOR THE ANALYSIS OF PER AND POLYFLUORINATED ALKYL SUBSTANCES (PFAS)
(WILMINGTON, NC) – Enthalpy Analytical, LLC (“Enthalpy”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Montrose Environmental Group, Inc., is pleased to announce that effective October 22, 2018 our Wilmington-based Ultratrace laboratory is accredited through the Louisiana Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (LELAP) to perform analysis of Per- and Polyfluorinated alkyl (PFAS) substances. This accreditation includes analysis for these analytes for the following sample matrixes: non-potable water, air, soil, tissue and sediment.
Enthalpy is committed to being on the leading edge of the research and method development for PFAS analysis. Our current capabilities allow us to analyze for both legacy PFAS, such as PFOS/PFOA, and newer PFAS such as GenX as well as identify PFAS in an array of sample matrices at low detection limits that exceed industry standard. Our team pairs in-depth working knowledge with client or program specific criteria providing the best analytical solution, and generating the most reliable PFAS data available.
Vijay Manthripragada, Chief Executive Officer, Montrose Environmental Group, Inc. added, “A core part of our mission is to help the communities in which we live and work, and contamination from PFAS is of increasing importance to our communities and our clients across the country. We are proud of our Montrose team that is at the leading edge of PFAs investigation, method development and remediation. We have aggregated the leading minds on the topic, and it would be our privilege to help if you have any questions or concerns about PFAS in water, air or sediments/soil. Whether you have questions about analyzing or interpreting data, analyzing at very low sensitivities, the efficacy of removing contaminants, or working with and across public and private organizations, Montrose has the experience you need and would welcome the opportunity to work with you.”
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers PFAS compounds an Emerging Contaminant. These compounds have been widely used in a variety of applications such as clothing, carpeting, food packaging, and heat-resistant foam. PFAS are considered exceptionally toxic because of their ability to bioaccumulate and bio-magnify over time.
Enthalpy is a national network of accredited laboratories and your single source for comprehensive environmental laboratory testing services. For more information about our PFAS analysis capabilities, please contact us at info@enthalpy.com or visit www.enthalpy.com.
