New California ELAP Accreditation Standards Coming in 2020

The California Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) is edging closer to adopting a new accreditation standard and updating associated regulations, with a target effective date of January 2020. The new standard is expected to be based on the 2016 TNI Standard, which focuses heavily on quality management systems to ensure that labs can provide users with data of known and documented quality. These new requirements will impact environmental labs accredited in California, and as a consequence, some of you who send environmental samples to accredited labs.

If you have questions about how this may impact your organization or would like to talk to a lab that has successfully made the transition to the TNI Standard, please reach out to Katie Payne (katie.payne@enthalpy.com) at Enthalpy Analytical (formerly Nautilus-Environmental).
