Monitor and Manage Methane Emissions with SEMTECH®️ HI-FLOW 2 from Sensors, Inc.

For more than half a century, Sensors, Inc. has been known for its high-quality gas emission and particulate measurement products under the SEMTECH® brand in the automotive industry. Recently, the company has expanded its expertise into the oil and gas industry.
While we often hear of fuel and chemical companies aiming for net zero methane emissions, it is less often reported which technologies will bring us there and how. Sensors development of the SEMTECH® HI-FLOW 2, a fugitive methane analyzer focused on leak detection and repair (LDAR), will be a part of this movement toward quantification which will lead to reduction, and eventually, elimination.
Precise Quantification Technology
This latest addition to the SEMTECH® family can detect leaks ranging from 0.0005 to 25 CFM with an accuracy of 5% or better, thanks to advanced flow and gas sensing technologies. This precise measurement of fugitive methane is achieved by utilizing Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) in a form factor that enables a dynamic range of 4 to 5 orders of magnitude with no cross-interference from other gases. Additionally, the extracted flow (methane leak and ambient air) is accurately measured, allowing for the determination of the volume- and mass-based leak rate of fugitive methane over a broad range.
User-friendly Interface
This device has been thoughtfully designed with user convenience and ease of operation in mind. It boasts a modern Wi-Fi web-based GUI interface that enables intuitive control and monitoring of the device’s functions. For added flexibility, the interface also features a manual override function, as well as LED status indicators that provide clear feedback on the device’s performance. The device comes equipped with a powerful battery pack with a capacity of up to 200 Whr, ensuring uninterrupted daily operation.
Adaptable Design
The SEMTECH® HI-FLOW 2 comprises a handheld sampler with a high-volume vacuum sampling fan and a portable analyzer, making it a versatile solution that can be used with various sampling adapters (including legacy adapters you may already have in your tool-kit). Whether carried or mounted on a backpack, the analyzer provides precise measurements during established leak detection and repair programs.
Additionally, the device features lightweight and flexible umbilical connections between its various components, making it easy to access hard-to-reach places. An optional shoulder strap also adds to the device’s portability, allowing for comfortable transportation from one location to another. With its intuitive design and convenient features, this device is ideal for a range of applications, offering reliable and efficient performance.
