Fulfilling a governmental contract, representatives from Montrose Environmental Group worked in collaboration with government agencies on a project in Lakehurst, NJ. The project entailed the design and operation of various systems to analyze and treat contaminated soil and groundwater, under the purview of EPA Region 2 and the New Jersey EPA. This project involved the operation of seven different systems, some designed specifically for remediation of groundwater, soil, or both. Over 10 years, project engineers and associates collected samples quarterly to validate the effectiveness of the remediation systems for regulators. Systems were closed over time as they achieved the desired environmental standards and confirmed the targeted removal of contaminants.
