CASE STUDY
Air, Soil, and Water Analysis of a Governmental Project Site in McClellan, CA
Opportunity
A governmental project site in McClellan, CA required extensive air, soil, and water analysis for metals, organics, and standard chemistry.
Challenge
Montrose was hired to perform multi-incremental sampling and coordinated laboratory analyses on a large number of samples covering a diverse range of contaminants using multiple technologies.
Solution
Montrose employees fulfilled multiple task orders, collecting over 2,700 samples from the project site. Analyses by 8270-SIM were carried out for hexavalent chromium, perchlorate, PAH, and 1,4-dioxane. GC/MS analyses were performed for hydrocarbons, pesticides, volatiles and semivolatiles. Various metals analyses and wet chemistry analyses were conducted, as well. In addition, montrose staff used cutting-edge laboratory information management systems (LIMS) to automate quality control and review data collected from multiple networked workstations. Throughout each task, Montrose associates maintained defined regulatory methods for measuring chemical levels and addressing compliance criteria.
